This is Who I Am! I'm a rider. I've been loving the ride every since I was 17 years old and stationed as an Army Flight Medic in Ft. Ord California. The closest feeling there is to flying in a helicopter is riding a Motorcycle down a open road. The freedom, wind in our face, pure excitement. It doesn't matter if you ride a Harley, Suzuki, BMW, or Indian, as long as you love being on 2 wheels, you're in the Right Place!
You understand the Feeling of being on the open road. It's a BrotherHood!
Saluting The Army Delta Force, Job Well Done! Delta Force operators swarming ISIS leader al-Baghdadi's compound in Syria
The mission started at 9:00 a.m. ET on Saturday in Syria, though US troops did not arrive at the compound until after dark.
No US soldiers were killed during the operation, but a military working dog was injured by live electrical cables after al-Baghdadi detonated a suicide vest in a tunnel. The dog has recovered from its injuries and returned to duty, according to McKenzie.
Fighters not associated with al-Baghdadi began attacking US troops from two locations, McKenzie said. US aircraft responded by attacking the militants.
Following the assault, the compound was hit by more munitions to prevent the location from becoming a shrine. Multiple armed helicopters, unmanned aircraft, and fighter jets were used to provide cover for the raid.
Four women and one man inside the compound were considered threats and killed after they "did not respond to commands in Arabic.
Al-Baghdadi, who is believed to have been 48 years old, took over the terrorist organization in 2010 after two of his predecessors were killed. He was considered to be one of the US's most-wanted terrorists and fetched a $25 million bounty.
Freedom Isn't Free!
So many bikers I meet are veterans or serving this great country. And the biker community gives so much to the veterans through Poker Runs, Toy Runs, Food Drives, and other events.
We want to Post current events throughout the country so that you'll always have some place to ride and meet fellow Vets.
It's a Brotherhood like no other!
Not only should we thank the military this Veterans Day, but we should resolve to thank them throughout the year for the vital service they perform for our country.
